Diary

1st May, 2023-29th May 2023

"The Daily Fruit Diary" and a sticker paper was included with the notice. Please start on the 1st May and allow your child/ward to stick one sticker per day if they have eaten one portion of fruit that day (one portion is about the size of a banana). If they have eaten fruit every day for a week, please allow them to place a celebration sticker at the end of the week. Return the Daily Fruit diary after 28th May."

One possible discussion that could accompany the Daily Fruit Diary is a conversation about the importance of eating fruits as part of a healthy diet. Some possible activities are:

Fruit tasting: Have the children taste a variety of fruits and rate them based on their taste preferences. This can help them discover new fruits that they enjoy and encourage them to try new things.

Making fruit art: Use different fruits to create fun and creative art pieces. This can help make eating fruit more enjoyable for children, while also encouraging creativity.

Learning about different fruits: Discuss the different types of fruits, their nutritional benefits, and where they come from. This can help children understand the importance of incorporating a variety of fruits into their diet.

Creating healthy fruit snacks: Encourage children to create healthy snacks using fruits. This can include making fruit salads, smoothies, or other fun and creative recipes.

Overall, the Daily Fruit Diary activity can be a fun and interactive way to help children develop healthy eating habits and learn about the importance of fruits in their diet. By incorporating different activities and discussions, you can make the activity both educational and entertaining.
